Ladies’ Guide to Etiquette
Design and art are major interests to me, but so is history. It’s great fun when I get to combine them. In an effort to learn InDesign better, I re-designed an 1875 etiquette book available on the internet. There were many challenges involved in updating the style, since the book itself has a few different ways of displaying information.
Here’s some comparison images between the original PDF and the one I redesigned. I tried to stick close to its layout for the most part, except for adding more space and obvious headings. The whole reason I started this was to make a reference for myself that was easier to read and search through.
Pretty Pony Adventure Trail
In an effort to learn more about InDesign, I was given permission to spruce up a little one-page tabletop rpg by Deb Fuller called Pretty Pony Adventure Trail. All of the text and ideas are hers, and the images used to make the map and spot art are from this Fairytale Map Creator by Pretty Bug.
